Halloween 2011

Max was so excited about being Mickey Mouse this year for Halloween.  I was going to buy him a Mickey Mouse costume from the Halloween store, but didn't want to spend the $40 they wanted to charge me.  So, I just "made" him a Mickey Mouse costume.  I had already purchased a black Mickey Mouse Halloween Shirt for him to wear to school, and then found some red shorts at Walmart for $2.  All I needed to get after that were the ears, some white gloves, and some black paint for his nose.  I think the costume turned out great, and Max loved it!

We started to get him ready Monday evening for all the fun, but he just didn't seem that excited about going trick or treating.  I made him take a couple of pictures after we put his costume on, and then we waited for his friend Trinity to come over and walk with us.  Unfortunately Max was not into taking candy from anyone.  He would say trick or treat and when they tried to give him candy he would back up and say he didn't want any candy.  Charles and I made sure his bucket got a couple pieces for candy.  We only went to a couple of houses because Max was just NOT digging the whole process.  Maybe next year.  So, we went back to our house to hand out candy.  Max loved giving the candy away!  He thought it was so cool that all these kids were coming to his house, and he was very generous with the candy.  All in all it was a good night.

 Meeska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse!
 We've got ears, say Cheers!
 Minnie, Mickey and Goofy

Mickey Mouse getting onto Goofy...they never show this side of Mickey Mouse on tv.

Max and his friend Trinity...the cutest little poodle.

Waiting for the door to open.
And Max starting to back away.

Ready to hand out candy!

We will definitely try again next year.
