We are so thrilled to announce that Max is going to have a baby sister! Since this is what he has told us he wanted from the beginning he was very happy to hear the news too. He got to go to the doctor with us and see his little sister on the big screen. The doctor said everything looks great and she is one healthy little girl.
We can't wait to meet our little Molly Diane Milligan in November!!!

Travelers Baseball Game
As most of you know our son is pretty obsessed with all sports. So Charles and I decided to take him to his first Travelers baseball game. Max had a blast! We bought him a baseball bat, and Charles showed him how to run the bases after he hit the ball. He even got to take a picture with their mascot. We will definitely be taking him back for another game soon!
New Haircut
Max got a new haircut! It has been sooo hot here lately that his long hair was just soaked with sweat every time he went outside to play. So, Charles and I decided to give him a nice summer haircut. Considering we did this haircut ourselves I think it turned out great. Now the boy is much cooler when playing outside, and he even said it makes him feel cooler.
Happy Anniversary!
June 23, 2011
Charles and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary, and we have been together for a total of 7 1/2 years! I made Charles and I a really nice shadow box of some of the things from our wedding day including our wedding invitation, which is now hanging in our room. Charles got me a beautiful orchid that I am working hard to keep alive :). We are both so thankful for each other and can't wait to see what the next 50 years brings!

Father's Day
I would like to say that Charles had a nice relaxing Father's Day, but he decided to build Max a sandbox that day. Thankfully it didn't take him long and we were able to have a great time with him on his day. Max woke Charles up and presented him with two cards while yelling, Happy Father's Day! Later that afternoon Max gave him a picture of them from their first trip to the driving range, framed, and put it in his dad's office. We are so thankful for Charles and everything he does for this family!

Playing in the Dirt
Max and I took a little trip to Target today and we, of course, had to stop by the toy section. I always tell him, we are just looking, not buying. We get to their $1-$3 baskets and Max sees a couple of things he just can't leave the store without. 1. Shovel 2. Rake 3. Water/Dirt toy. He hands all three of these items to me and asked if we can put them in the cart. I asked him why he wanted to purchase these items and his response was very simply, I want to play in the dirt when we get home. I said okay (it cost me a total of $4 for these fun items), and we rushed to the register to check out. We get home and Max instantly grabs the toys and hands them to me. Mom, take off the tags. I cut the tags and he's out the door. I give him a couple of minutes and find him exactly where he said he was going to be, the dirt. The previous owners of this house had a garden of veggies and herbs, something I am not in to, and now it's just a box of dirt and left over herbs. I ran inside to get Charles to set up an umbrella so that Max could play in the shade. Little man played outside in the dirt for 2 hours, and the dogs enjoyed watching him play too. Zeppelin even got in the dirt with Max. He would have stayed longer if it wasn't time for a nap, and I could tell by the last picture I snapped that he was pretty warn out. I gave him a quick shower and put him down for a nap. I have a feeling I know where he's going to be spending the majority of his days this summer. Enjoy the pictures!
