My mom came to visit us this past weekend. She was off work for Ardmore's fall break, and we were happy to have her. We always have a great time when Mimi comes to town! This time was especially interesting because she was bringing her new puppies, Shawn and Maggie, with her. The pugs and Max did great with the puppies and everyone had a great time. Thanks for coming mom!
Conan was a little obsessed with the puppies. He had to watch them at all time.
Roxie was amazing with the puppies! Her motherly instincts kicked in and she followed them everywhere.
Shawn fit right in to my little clan.
Shawn and Maggie taking a little nap on my lap during the OSU game. Good thing they were there because I really wanted to yell at the tv several times. Their job was to keep me calm...and it worked.
Mom and I were sitting on the deck while the dogs and Max played in the backyard. We noticed that all the dogs were with us except Maggie, and of course Max was missing too. So my mom and I got up and started looking for them. We turned the corner and found Max and Maggie hanging out in the back of his truck. It was just too cute!
Max loved the puppies, and they loved him!

Pumpkin Patch Fieldtrip - 10.20.11
Max's school took a field trip to one of the many pumpkin patches here in Arkansas. We took Max to one last year, but this one had a lot more activities. Max had a great time running around and playing with his friends from school. He picked out a pumpkin, saw some animals, went through a spider maze, and got to go on a hay ride.
Max wanted to play in the truck while we waited for all the other kids to show up.
Max and his cute friend Chloe being silly.
Max and Brody finding their way through the spider maze.
Looking for the perfect pumpkin.
He found it!
My little pumpkin.
Brody and Max being silly.
Looking at all the animals. Max had to pet all the animals he could get his hands on. I wonder where he gets his love for animals?!
Chloe and Max being silly.
Max and Deacon.
Trying to get these boys (Deacon, Max and Brody) to sit still during story time was not easy. Especially when the hay ride was next.
Max wanted to sit by his friends Deacon and Brody during the hay ride. Thankfully Brody's mom is one of Max's teachers and she sat with them.
We had a GREAT time at Johnston's Pumpkin Farm!

Start the Countdown
With 5 weeks to go we are starting to get a little anxious. Max is super excited about ,meeting his little sister, and can't wait for her to get here. Charles told him last night that Molly was going to be here very soon and he started clapping and saying, "that's so exciting." With the nursery complete and my bag packed I feel like I'm still forgetting something. I still need to pack a little something for Max, just in case, but that can be done super fast. We are definitely ready to meet you little girl.
Here are a couple of pictures I tried to get this weekend of my ever growing belly (34 weeks) and family. Taking pictures with this group is never easy. :)
And we can't forget the Pugs!

Potty Chart
To get Max more excited about potty training I made him a potty chart. We bought Mickey Mouse stickers and every time he goes potty he gets to put a sticker on his chart. Once he gets 10 stickers he get to go to the golf place. Today he got 10 stickers! He was so excited that he called his dad and told him he got 10 stickers and he was ready for the golf place. As soon as Charles got home from work they went straight to the golf place. Some days he potty's several times and some days he just doesn't, but the potty chart is definitely getting him more excited about the process. Baby steps...baby steps.
