The First Tee

We found something that Max absolutely LOVES doing...GOLF.  We signed Max up for a programs called The First Tee.  Did I mention that he LOVES it?!  He goes every Saturday morning from March-November (unless they have a tournament on that day).  He gets to hit as many golf balls on the driving range that he wants, they have a putting green to practice on, and the best part is they have a mini golf course for the little kids to play on as well.  This really is an amazing program!  Charles is having so much fun taking Max to play golf.  Saturday is their father/son time.  The instructors have told Charles that Max probably has the best swing, for a kid his age, in all of central Arkansas.  And after watching Max swing another instructor told Charles that he wouldn't touch his swing.  Max really does have the love for this sport.

And look at that form in his daddy's golf shoes.

Soccer

Max loves to play soccer with Charles in the front yard, so I thought hey let's sign him up for soccer this year.  March rolled around and it was time for his first practice.  We packed up his soccer shoes, shins guards and soccer ball and headed to Burns Park.  Max was really excited to see one of his friends from school, Landon.  We got there a little bit before practice started so the boys found a goal and started playing.  Max was having a great time until the coach blew his whistle and asked the kids to join him in a circle.  Max lost it!  His idea of soccer was what he was doing with his friend Landon, playing and kicking the ball into the goal.  What he quickly learned is that was not how this soccer experience was going to go.  After that he pretty much made up his mind that he wasn't going to play soccer.  We thought we would give it one more chance and attended soccer practice the following Saturday.  Well, it was not a fun experience for anyone.  Max stood on the sidelines watching the other kids play while Charles and I tried to talk him into going out there and playing.  We had a talk with the coach and pretty much told him that we wouldn't be coming back.  Maybe next year we said...we'll see.  We think Max is kind of an individual sport kind of guy right now.  Thank goodness he loves golf!

Max and Molly (1 1/2 months)

This is how Max used to hang out with his sister.  He would hang out on the floor with her during her tummy time, all while playing games on my phone.  She has been crazy about this boy since day 1.

January park day

We enjoyed a nice day at the park.  Max even played with sister on the slide.  We LOVE having a park across the street from our neighborhood!

New Years

Sorry for back tracking, but I found a lot of pictures on my camera that I forgot to download to the computer.  So, here are the kids (Molly 1 month) on New Years eve.  We had a quiet evening home with the kids, and I couldn't have asked for a better way to ring in the new year.  Thanks 2011 for our wonderful blessing, looking forward to 2012!

After these picutres were taken we put the kids to bed, and sadly we were both asleep before midnight.  What a wonderful life!

School Box Car

I found these pictures on my camera and wanted to share them.  Back in January Max (and his teachers) made a really cool box car.  He had such a great time driving it around the house.  And he also got new sunglasses around that time which you will see in the pictures as well.  I'm SO happy Max enjoys his school!
