Ultrasound Comparison

I was looking through some maternity pictures while I was pregnant with Max and came across his 20 week ultrasound.  As I was looking I thought that little sisters ultrasound looked a lot like Max.  So, I got the two together and started comparing them.  What do you think?

4th of July

We had a GREAT 4th of July!   My mom was in town for the weekend and as always Max had a great time with her here.  We played with some of our purchased fireworks the night before, sparklers and smoke bombs, to see if Max was going to be in to these things this year.  He like the sparklers until they started crackling and of course the smoke bombs were a big hit.

In Maumelle shooting fireworks is actually legal for 12 hours on the fourth so Charles had fun popping his M-whatevers in the front yard.  He has already warned me that next year he will probably go crazy with the fireworks.  Anyway, he's popping his fireworks in the front yard and as you can tell Max is not too thrilled with the loud sound these fireworks make.  To make it up to him Charles set some more smoke bombs off and he had a blast running and screaming through the smoke.

We had a little bit more fun with the fireworks in the backyard before we went inside to rest and get ready for the big fireworks show.

Before we left to watch the fireworks we tried to see if Max wanted to try holding another sparkler, and he decided to just watch Dad and Mimi play with the sparklers.  Then we got on the road and headed to our local grocery store, Kroger.  We were parked right in front of where the fireworks were set up at the lake...perfect seats!  Maumelle had an amazing firework show!  We all had a great time watching the fireworks and then headed home to set the rest of ours off while it was still legal.

I'm sure next year little man will be a lot more adventurous when it comes to fireworks.  Can't wait!

IT'S A...

We are so thrilled to announce that Max is going to have a baby sister!  Since this is what he has told us he wanted from the beginning he was very happy to hear the news too.  He got to go to the doctor with us and see his little sister on the big screen.  The doctor said everything looks great and she is one healthy little girl.

We can't wait to meet our little Molly Diane Milligan in November!!!

Travelers Baseball Game

As most of you know our son is pretty obsessed with all sports.  So Charles and I decided to take him to his first Travelers baseball game.  Max had a blast!  We bought him a baseball bat, and Charles showed him how to run the bases after he hit the ball.  He even got to take a picture with their mascot.  We will definitely be taking him back for another game soon!

New Haircut

Max got a new haircut!  It has been sooo hot here lately that his long hair was just soaked with sweat every time he went outside to play.  So, Charles and I decided to give him a nice summer haircut.  Considering we did this haircut ourselves I think it turned out great.  Now the boy is much cooler when playing outside, and he even said it makes him feel cooler.

Happy Anniversary!

June 23, 2011

Charles and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary, and we have been together for a total of 7 1/2 years!  I made Charles and I a really nice shadow box of some of the things from our wedding day including our wedding invitation, which is now hanging in our room.  Charles got me a beautiful orchid that I am working hard to keep alive :).  We are both so thankful for each other and can't wait to see what the next 50 years brings!

Father's Day

I would like to say that Charles had a nice relaxing Father's Day, but he decided to build Max a sandbox that day.  Thankfully it didn't take him long and we were able to have a great time with him on his day.  Max woke Charles up and presented him with two cards while yelling, Happy Father's Day!  Later that afternoon Max gave him a picture of them from their first trip to the driving range, framed, and put it in his dad's office.  We are so thankful for Charles and everything he does for this family!
