Visiting Aiden!

Tuesday I went over to visit Tiffany and Aiden in Norman and we went to lunch with her friend Megn and her daughter.  We had a wonderful lunch!  I wanted to plan another visit to see Tiffany and Aiden, but I wanted to bring Max along this time.  So, Thursday I took Max over to see baby Aiden.  He thought Mr. Aiden was pretty special.  He did such a great job with him, and even gave him a nice gentle hug.  I wanted Max to see what a baby really looks like and not the images he has in his head.  I think he's going to be GREAT big brother!  Here are some pictures from our visit with Aiden.

Aiden is just precious...we are in love!

OKC Family Time

Monday night Max and I went over to my Aunt Shirley and Shelley's house for a little family dinner.  It was so nice to see and hang out with everyone.  My Uncle Jack even brought his kids over and Max had a great time playing with them.  Thanks for having us over!

Kristin's Bridal Shower

Saturday afternoon I hosted a bridal shower for my great friend Kristin.  Her mom was kind of enough to let us have the shower at her house and she even took care of all the food, which was wonderful.  Another bridesmaid, Niessa, brought these wonderful cupcakes that were filled with raspberries.  We had a great turnout and Kristin was even able to open a couple of gifts that can fit nicely in her suitcase.  Thanks to everyone that came, we had a wonderful time!  Can't wait for the wedding July 30...it's going to be a blast!  Congrats KP and Ben!

The Sale Family

Saturday morning I met the Sale family at the Myriad Botanical Gardens in downtown Oklahoma City to take some family/maternity pictures for their nursery.  Baby number 3 is due August 30, and I can't wait to find out if it's going to be a boy or girl!  I had such a great time shooting this wonderful family and here are some of the pictures I took that day.  Thank you Sebrina, Harlan, Mikayla, Jozzlynne and Baby Sale!

Dresser Update

We were very lucky to get this dresser for Max from a wonderful family member.  It is a great piece of furniture just the wrong color for Max's room.  It has taken me almost a year to get my husband to help me update this piece so Max's room can finally be done.  We took this dresser from white to black, to match Max's bed.  It was a nice little weekend project for us and I think it turned out great!

Next project, getting Ms. M's vanity ready for her room.

Ultrasound Comparison

I was looking through some maternity pictures while I was pregnant with Max and came across his 20 week ultrasound.  As I was looking I thought that little sisters ultrasound looked a lot like Max.  So, I got the two together and started comparing them.  What do you think?

4th of July

We had a GREAT 4th of July!   My mom was in town for the weekend and as always Max had a great time with her here.  We played with some of our purchased fireworks the night before, sparklers and smoke bombs, to see if Max was going to be in to these things this year.  He like the sparklers until they started crackling and of course the smoke bombs were a big hit.

In Maumelle shooting fireworks is actually legal for 12 hours on the fourth so Charles had fun popping his M-whatevers in the front yard.  He has already warned me that next year he will probably go crazy with the fireworks.  Anyway, he's popping his fireworks in the front yard and as you can tell Max is not too thrilled with the loud sound these fireworks make.  To make it up to him Charles set some more smoke bombs off and he had a blast running and screaming through the smoke.

We had a little bit more fun with the fireworks in the backyard before we went inside to rest and get ready for the big fireworks show.

Before we left to watch the fireworks we tried to see if Max wanted to try holding another sparkler, and he decided to just watch Dad and Mimi play with the sparklers.  Then we got on the road and headed to our local grocery store, Kroger.  We were parked right in front of where the fireworks were set up at the lake...perfect seats!  Maumelle had an amazing firework show!  We all had a great time watching the fireworks and then headed home to set the rest of ours off while it was still legal.

I'm sure next year little man will be a lot more adventurous when it comes to fireworks.  Can't wait!
